Pattypaws Dog training and pet care.
I run one to one based training  for pet dogs. Training is done at my home covering a simple 6 week training program. My goal is to have you capable of training your pet to become a calm friendly member of your family. I do not just train dogs I train you how to train your dog. All training is combined with email backup. Giving you a source of support and as much detail as you may need to achieve this goal. The lessons are combined with some easy to follow homework and course notes so that other members of your family can be part of the training.  Training should be fun for all the family.

 

Pattypaws training does not recommend choke collars or any physical harm while training your pet. I do recommend the use of a clicker which is a reward based training tool and if necessary the Canny collar, or halti as training aids.





I find my blend of reward training and modifying behaviour works well with problem dogs. Knowing why your dog acts the way it does. Helps me and you to alter the behaviour. I will explain why and how the training works in detail on the course. Even older dogs benefit from a structured training plan.

Why train your dog?



Even if you have had dogs in the past a new puppy may well throw up unexpected problems. Or a rescue dog could have issues you are unaware of that cause unexpected behaviour. A bit of professional help can steer things the right way for you and your pet. What may seem impossible to cure to you might just be a simple alteration in your actions to solve your problem.













Feel free to enquire about my services. If you do not need the 6 lessons I offer as a base course you may ask for advice on a single problem and we can work out a lesson structure that suits those needs.


Lessons are at my home. I do occasionally visit a customer only if they need specific help. This helps me cut down on my travelling costs. The benefit to you is my costs are lower and you have a safe chance to practice visiting a home with your puppy. Learning how to teach good manners to your puppy in a relax dog friendly environment. The only downside to this is I cannot do training in the evenings. However, I am flexible with training times and can offer some appointments during the weekend.
